Winger arrives on short-term contract

Lincoln have completed the signing of winger Khano Smith on a short-term deal following a successful trial. The Bermuda international has been training with the club for the past five weeks and has made a good impression on new manager Chris Sutton. He had already agreed terms on a contract that will keep him at Sincil Bank until the New Year and international clearance has now been granted. The former New York Red Bulls player becomes Sutton's first permanent signing and he could make his Imps debut in Saturday's home clash with Torquay. Lincoln are expected to strengthen their squad further with a couple of loan signings. Aston Villa youngsters Nathan Baker and Eric Lichaj are both set to put pen-to-paper on month-long loan deals. Baker is an England Under 19 international who plays at centre-back, while versatile defender Lichaj is an American youth international.
