Brynjar Gunnarsson has called for Reading's supporters to get behind the struggling Championship club and support manager Brendan Rodgers.
The 4-1 defeat at QPR on Tuesday night left Rodgers' side languishing in 21st place in the Championship and midfielder Gunnarsson admits everyone at the Madejski Stadium expects better.
He said: "I understand the fans' frustrations.
"We've had a great three or four years here at Reading and as players and fans we expect to be fighting for at least the play-offs.
"But we are where we are, we have to stick together and get behind the manager.
"We need to get ourselves out of this and start picking up some results."
