Highly-rated Jakub Blaszczykowski has signed a new contract with Borussia Dortmund that keeps him at the club until June 2013.
The 23-year-old joined Dortmund in July 2007 from Wisla Krakow and quickly struck up a rapport with the fans that saw him crowned Supporters' Player of the Year in January 2009.
However Blaszczykowski, or Kuba, the name he wears on the back of his shirt, was plagued with thigh problems last season which ultimately restricting his development.
Liverpool have reportedly expressed an interest in the winger in the past but the Bundesliga side have been quick to tie Kuba to a new deal.
The player's contract was not set to run out until summer 2011 but the wide man admitted his relationship with coach Jurgen Klopp was the main reason behind him penning the deal.
"I like the speed of the game and the system he plays," he told the club's official website.
