Stoke goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is set to sign a new contract at the Britannia Stadium.
The Denmark international has been a consistent performer for the Potters since he joined the club following their promotion to the Premier League in 2008.
He is now 33 but revealed recently that he wanted to remain with Stoke beyond the end of his current deal.
Sorensen is now set to get his wish after agreeing terms on a new contract and he is delighted the matter is close to being resolved.
"We've more or less agreed the contract, I just need to sign it," said Sorensen.
"It's great that it's sorted out and I can focus on the future here at Stoke because it looks very bright.
"Obviously you need to perform and give something to the club, but then at the same time it's nice to be rewarded.
"It's a good club and it shows that if you do well, you get the rewards for it."
