Northampton boss Ian Sampson says injured winger Liam Davis should be back in action in a fortnight.
Davis, 22, has been sidelined for the best part of 18-months but looks to be finally getting back to match fitness.
Sampson admits he is looking forward to having Davis back in training with the League Two side.
Although keen not to rush his return, the Town boss admitted he may be forced to play Davis sooner than anticipated.
"We're missing a bit of a balance at the moment - we've only got one left-footer in the squad as it stands so it will be good to get him back involved," Sampson told the Evening Telegraph.
"It depends on how much we need him as to how quickly we get him in the team."
