Kris Boyd admits he does not know whether he will still be a Rangers player next season.
The Scotland international came close to joining Birmingham in January, but was unable to agree terms with the men from St Andrews.
Speculation regarding his future then resurfaced towards the end of the summer transfer window, with a move abroad widely touted.
Once again he remained at Ibrox, but his current contract with the Gers is set to expire at the end of the 2009/10 campaign.
Boyd insists he has no desire to leave the Glasgow giants, but he accepts that any decision to move him on will be taken out of his hands.
"Everybody knows my feelings towards Rangers," he told the Scottish Sun.
"Everybody knows I love playing for and scoring goals for this club.
"If I had my way, I wouldn't ever want to leave Rangers but it's not up to me,
"It is down to the club and we'll need to wait and see what they say.
"As far as I am aware they haven't even spoken to my agent. But they have his number so they know what they have to do."
