Everton manager David Moyes is reportedly interested in Rennes defender Rod Fanni.
The Toffees boss has sent a number of scouts to keep tabs on the France international, who plays at right back, according to rumours in France.
Fanni's contract with Rennes expires in 2011 and Moyes could be tempted to make an offer in a bid to bolster his defence.
"I am not aware of any club interested in me," Fanni told Skysports.com.
"I've been told Everton is looking at me, but nothing official so I can't comment, I am here at Rennes, so let's see."
Scottish manager Moyes is also rumoured to be keeping an eye on Fanni's Rennes team-mates Kader Mangane and Asamoah Gyan.
