Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is confident that Luke Young will be ready to play after the international break.
The England defender has been sidelined since pre-season with a thigh problem.
Young will not be considered for the clash with Manchester City on Monday evening, but he will be ready for the game with Chelsea on October 17.
"Luke is doing really fine. I would say by the time we come back after the international break he will just be about right," said O'Neill.
"There is a reserve game coming up which he would probably would need but he is doing very well indeed.
"There are no ill-effects from the injury and, psychologically, I think he is improving greatly since the death of his half-brother."
