Ricardo Carvalho reveals Chelsea face the wrath of Carlo Ancelotti if they do not improve their form.

Blues centre-half warns of Carlo temper

Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho reveals the Blues face the wrath of Carlo Ancelotti if they do not step up their performances. Carvalho said the Italian manager was unhappy with the team after their 3-1 defeat to Wigan last weekend, and that he was even angrier after the 1-0 win over Apoel Nicosia in the UEFA Champions League. The 31-year-old Portugal international is keen to avoid a repeat reaction from his manager after seeing him in full fury in Cyprus in midweek. "He started to be angry at Wigan away and on Wednesday night he was even more angry because again we didn't play well," Carvalho said in the Sunday Mirror. "And he has reasons to be angry. Sometimes he is so angry he speaks in Italian - then you know he is really upset. He starts to shout and you know he is angry. "Everyone realises that we have to do much better than this. Liverpool will be tough to beat and every one of us has to improve. "We have to play much better - and we will play much better. When you play big teams that sometimes happens." Carvalho is looking forward to the crunch game against Liverpool in the Premier League, and said he has enjoyed recent meetings between the two sides. "We have played them so many times since I have been in England with Chelsea," he added. "But my favourite game was when we beat them in the semi-finals of the Champions League to get to the final."
