Notts County boss Ian McParland has denied reports linking the club with a swoop for Birmingham's Gary McSheffrey.
The ambitious League Two club have been linked with a loan move for the out-of-favour 27-year-old, who made four appearances for city rivals Nottingham Forest last season.
However, when asked about McSheffrey, McParland stated that he had not spoken to the club's board about the player.
The Scot did reveal that County are still awaiting international clearance for new signing Ade Akinbiyi.
