Falkirk veteran Jackie McNamara has hinted he could carry on his playing career beyond the end of the season.
The 35-year-old defender had been expected to hang up his boots when his contract expires next summer.
However, Bairns manager Eddie May is ready to offer the former Celtic ace, who has started all six SPL matches this term, a new deal.
McNamara is not yet ready to commit one way or another, although if he remains fit and enjoying his football he could be persuaded to pen fresh terms.
"I'll not rush and make any statements now," explained McNamara. "I managed to play something like 37 games last season.
"If I can get a good number of games again I'll see how I feel at the end of the season in terms of carrying on."
