West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola is looking forward to working with Guillermo Franco.
The Mexican striker is set to sign a one-year deal with The Hammers after agreeing terms with the club.
He is available on a free transfer after leaving Spanish outfit Villarreal.
"He is doing his medical, he is a good player," Zola told Sky Sports News.
"He is a striker, and international player and I am sure he will be a player that will give us a good contribution.
"He will start working with me next week,
"He was one of the players on our list, and in the end we finalised it."
