Albert Adomah is keen to move to the Championship, but he is not on the brink of leaving Barnet.
Adomah's advisor has confirmed that the 21-year-old is keen to enhance his career by playing at a higher level.
But Tony Finnigan has stressed that although Blackpool may have failed with a bid for him, talks did not take place.
"If he had the chance to go then of course he would want to take it," he told the Barnet Times.
"He's an ambitious lad and it would be a chance to play in the Championship against better players and against the likes of Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Crystal Palace.
"It's a big step up from playing at places like Lincoln and Rochdale
"Albert won't be making a transfer request because he's not that type of person.
"He's a sensible lad and a decent person and he doesn't want to cause any trouble because he is the perfect professional footballer. At no point has Albert spoken to Blackpool."
