Motherwell midfielder Ross Forbes has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.
The 20-year-old's previous deal was due to expire next summer but he has now committed himself to Fir Park until 2012.
A product of the Motherwell youth system, Forbes spent much of last season with the reserves before heading out on loan to Dumbarton.
Forbes has earned a place in the side under new boss Jim Gannon and he has caught the eye so far this season scoring five goals in all competitions.
"It's brilliant and I am delighted to be staying at Motherwell," Forbes told the club's official website.
"It's great to be rewarded; I don't think I could've asked for a better start. It has been a good start to the season for me and the team and obviously now I need to work hard to ensure that continues.
"Now I've got my future sorted, it's all about learning the game under Jim Gannon and developing into a better footballer at my time at Fir Park."
