Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta is confident he can shake off injury and be ready for the start of their UEFA Champions League campaign.
The Catalans start their defence of the trophy when they face Inter Milan at the San Siro on 16th September, and Iniesta is hopeful he will have recovered in time.
The Spain international has been sidelined with a muscle tear since helping Barcelona to a 2-0 win over Manchester United in last season's final in May, but he is confident he will return to action before the Inter tie.
"That moment when I receive medical clearance and return to feeling what it's like to be a football player again is very near," he said.
"I hope it will be the next game. It's been a very tough summer but luckily the leg is good and I'm already motivated to play."
