Cedric van der Gun's agent has revealed the Dutch winger is 'very interested' in securing a move to Swansea City.
The 30-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Utrecht over the summer and is able to sign for Swansea outside of the transfer window.
He has been offered a move to the Liberty Stadium and Van der Gun's agent Karel Jansen confirmed the attacker is keen to join the Championship club.
Jansen says talks are ongoing and he is optimistic a deal can be agreed for the former Ajax youngster to link up with Paulo Sousa's squad.
"Cedric is very interested in the move to Swansea," said Jansen. "They have made an offer and we are currently negotiating.
"It's not finalised yet, but I am hopeful it can go through. The player is willing to join Swansea, but they have to get the deal right.
"They are not far off. We are just waiting to hear back from them.
"I don't know when the move will go through. We are just waiting for Swansea."
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins confirmed Van der Gun is a player who Sousa is considering adding to his squad.
Jenkins told the South Wales Echo: "He is someone whose name is being touted around and he is someone Paulo is considering."
