Parma have beaten Serie A rivals Palermo to the signing of Blerim Dzemaili from Torino.
The former Bolton man has agreed a season-long loan deal with Parma with the option of a permanent move.
Dzemaili endured an injury-ravaged time at Bolton, but the Swiss midfielder impressed during an initial loan spell at Torino that was made permanent at the end of last season.
A number of clubs expressed an interest in signing Dzemaili, but Parma have struck a deal to bring the 23-year-old to the Ennio Tardini.
Parma have allowed striker Daniele Vantaggiato to move in the opposite direction as part of the deal.
