Italian's 'sole representative' insists no Roma negotiations

Luca Toni's agent has spoken out to clear up confusion surrounding his client's future. Jose Alberti has been quoted as saying that he is Toni's agent and that the Bayern Munich striker was close to a return to Italy with Roma. The 32-year-old Italy international has also been linked with a move to England with West Ham this summer following the arrival of Mario Gomez and Ivica Olic at Bayern. But Tullio Tinti has now addressed the Italian press, insisting he is Toni's sole representative and threatening to take legal action. "I don't know Jose Alberti," he said. "The player's affairs are managed only by me.

Falsehood

"Alberti's words are untrue and I distrust this person, who I don't know, to talk about a situation which does not concern him. "Should he continue, I'll use legal action," Tinti continued. "A person who presents himself as a manager of a person who they don't represent damages their credibility." Tinti then went on to confirm that there are no discussions taking place with Roma and that Toni is focused on his duties with his German club. "At this moment, there are no negotiations," he said. "Luca is a Bayern Munich player and he's currently recovering from an inflamed tendon."
