Derby chairman Adam Pearson has denied reports Middlesbrough have made an offer for striker Rob Hulse.
The 29-year-old former Sheffield United man has been persistently linked with a move to the Riverside Stadium and it was claimed this week that Boro had made a £5m offer.
However, Pearson says there has been no contact between the clubs and that the rumours are unfounded.
"There's nothing in it," he said in the Derby Evening Telegraph.
"The rumours about Middlesbrough being interested in Rob Hulse have been going around for 10 weeks now but we have heard nothing from them."
