Burnley have completed the capture of Andre Bikey on a three-year contract from Reading.
The Cameroon international moves to Turf Moor for an undisclosed fee and could be handed his Clarets debut in Wednesday's meeting with Premier League champions Manchester United.
The 24-year-old centre-half joined Reading from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2007, having initially impressed the Royals during a loan spell.
He made over 70 appearances for the Berkshire club during his two-year stay, while he has also turned out for his country at the African Cup of Nations and the 2008 Olympics.
Bikey will be eligible to make his Burnley bow in midweek despite still having a suspension hanging over him.
A ban handed out following his dismissal in Reading's Championship play-off semi-final against the Clarets last term will be deemed to have been served when the Royals visit Swansea on Tuesday.
