Eddie May has confirmed Falkirk have rejected a bid from an unnamed Championship outfit for Scott Arfield's services.
The reported £300,000 offer for the Scotland Under-21 international falls well short of the Bairns' valuation.
May admits Arfield has a price, but insists that he will not be leaving the SPL side unless someone pays good money.
"It was nowhere near our valuation. If a club want him they have to pay good money," explained May.
"If someone makes an offer we can't refuse we couldn't stand in Scott's way.
"I hope that day is not ahead in the coming weeks, but if it is we'll assess it."
