Chile defender Gonzalo Jara has claimed he is poised to join West Bromwich Albion.
Jara, who is contracted to Chilean club Colo Colo, was linked with a move to the Baggies earlier this summer but the proposed transfer collapsed due to financial matters.
However, according to Jara, an agreement has now been struck and the 23-year-old is set to sign for the Championship club.
Jara told Radio Cooperativa: "I am happy that the transfer can now be done. I am expecting to travel to England and start to train with my new team.
"I was calm because I knew that by playing at Colo Colo and the national team I was going to have the chance to be transferred at any time."
It is claimed Jara will travel to England on Wednesday ahead of signing personal terms after a fee of $3million (£1.8million) was agreed between the two clubs.
