Fernando Morientes is hoping to help Marseille to UEFA Champions League glory this season.
The Spanish striker joined the Ligue 1 giants from Valencia this summer and is desperate to make an immediate impression in France.
He feels his new employers are capable of competing for continental success and is backing Didier Deschamps to lead Marseille to the European crown.
"For me I am playing for the biggest club in France, no disrespect to Lyon or PSG, but Marseille are top of the tree in France," Morientes told skysports.com.
"I did not come here to sit on the bench and take my salary, I am here to win.
"I am dreaming of the European Cup final and I am ready for the challenge.
"Coach Deschamps has gone to the Champions League final before, so it can be done."
Deschamps took Monaco to the 2004 final, where he slipped to a 3-0 defeat against Jose Mourinho's Porto.
