Skysports.com understands Mark Viduka has held talks with Fulham over a possible move to Craven Cottage.
It is understood Viduka met with Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson on Thursday in the capital to discuss a switch to West London and undergo a medical.
Viduka is available on a free transfer after leaving Newcastle following the expiration of his contract at St James' Park.
Hodgson is believed to be an admirer of Viduka and is ready to offer him a deal as he looks to add to his attacking options with the club having the Europa League to contend with.
Portsmouth had expressed an interest in signing Viduka, but it appears Fulham are set to beat their Premier League rivals to the Australian hit-man.
