Coventry winger David Bell is facing up to six weeks on the sidelines as he may require further surgery on his ankle.
Bell's time at the Ricoh Arena has already been hampered by problems with his ankle and he went under the knife over the summer.
Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman has now sent the former Norwich and Leicester man for a consultation with his surgeon and admitted another operation may be the only solution.
Coleman gambled in playing Bell in Sunday's 2-1 win over Ipswich and is now keen for the problem to be fully resolved.

"I think we are going to have to bite the bullet," Coleman told the
Coventry Telegraph.
"We'll have a conversation with his surgeon and be guided by him as to what we're going to do and when, but it looks as if we're going to have to pull him out and get some more surgery on his ankle.
"That could put him out for a month to six weeks, but the sooner we get him in for the op, the sooner he'll be back.
"He's shown he's a quality player, but he'll be even better when we can sort him out."
