Bristol Rovers have signed goalkeeper Rhys Evans on a short-term deal as Steve Phillips discusses a move to Turkey.
Evans has been training with Rovers recently after leaving Bradford City earlier in the summer and has done enough to earn a contract.
With on-loan keeper Fraser Forster not allowed to play in the Carling Cup, Evans is likely to start for Rovers in Tuesday's first-round tie against Aldershot.
His arrival at the Memorial Stadium is likely to coincide with the departure of Phillips, who has been in Turkey to negotiate a move to Ankaragucu.
Phillips is expected back in England later this week when an announcement will be made regarding the former Bristol City keeper's future.
Ankaragucu have been adding an English connection to their squad of late, with Darius Vassell, former Luton striker Ian Henderson and ex-Liverpool defender Godwin Antwi all joining the club.
