Barnsley have won the race to sign Liverpool youngster Adam Hammill, skysports.com understands.
Barnsley and Leeds both held talks with Hammill after they agreed undisclosed fees with Liverpool for the highly-rated winger.
Hammill impressed during a loan spell at Oakwell last season and Tykes boss Simon Davey was always keen to have him back at Oakwell on a permanent basis.
Davey has managed to persuade Hammill to snub overtures from Leeds to make the switch to Barnsley and he is poised to tie up the switch in the next 24 hours.
Hammill is expected set to sign a three-year deal once his completes his medical at Barnsley.
