MK Dons have snapped up former Leeds United and Sunderland striker Michael Bridges on a non-contract basis.
Bridges has been searching for a new club throughout the summer after being released by Hull City at the end of last season.
He spent the last campaign on loan at Carlisle United, but rejected the opportunity of a permanent move to Brunton Park.
The 31-year-old undertook a trial at Norwich City last month, only to miss out on the offer of a contract from Carrow Road chief Bryan Gunn.
Lincoln City had also expressed an interest in Bridges, but he has joined MK Dons to ease manager Paul Ince's striker crisis.
Bridges has been included in the Dons' squad for Saturday's League One opener at home to Hartlepool United.
