Storrie confirms interest in Celtic defender

Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie has confirmed the club are pursuing Celtic full-back Lee Naylor. Left-back Naylor is thought to be surplus to requirements at Parkhead after new Celtic boss Tony Mowbray splashed out £3million on Danny Fox, who joined from Coventry last month. Naylor now looks set for a switch to England's top flight having spent three years in Scotland after his £600,000 move from Wolves in 2006. "He is one player we've looked at," Storrie told the Scottish Sun. "We'll see what happens between now and the end of August." Portsmouth boss Paul Hart is keen to strengthen his side after a mass exodus at Fratton Park this summer, which has seen key players Peter Crouch and Glen Johnson amongst the departures.
