Skysports.com understands that Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has loaned out two of the club's brightest prospects, Martyn Waghorn and Joe Colback, on long-term loans.
19-year-old forward Waghorn already has first-team experience at the Stadium of Light, but like last season he is set for a loan spell.
He spent time with Charlton last season, and he is now set to link up with newly promoted Leicester City in the Championship.
England youth international Colback is a highly-rated midfielder, but he is yet to taste first-team action.
Colback will get his chance under former boss Roy Keane, as he will link-up with Ipswich Town in time for the new season.
