Midfielder happy to take his time before deciding on future

Motherwell midfielder Stephen Hughes is considering an offer from Norwich City, but will not rush into a decision on his future. Hughes is out of contract at Fir Park and had been wanted by former Motherwell boss Mark McGhee at Aberdeen. He has also been linked with fellow SPL side Hearts, while Norwich have offered the ex-Leicester man a return to English football. However, the 26-year-old's agent Tom Callaghan admits Hughes is not yet ready to sign at Carrow Road as he waits on any interest from the Championship. "Stephen just wants a little more time to think it over," said Callaghan in the Daily Record. "I wouldn't say it is totally dead in the water, but we know there could be interest from Championship clubs. "Obviously there will be movement at other sides with players leaving. "That could open the door, but Stephen won't be rushed."
