Ben Sahar is determined to make an impression in Spanish football after joining Espanyol on a four-year deal.
The Israeli forward completed his move from Chelsea to Espanyol earlier this week and has now been presented to the media.
He admits he had other offers but insists it was an easy decision to go to Espanyol as he has always dreamed of playing in the Primera Division.
Sahar also received advice from Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun and fellow compatriot Gai Assulin of Barcelona.
"I am young and I want to show that I deserve to play in the Spanish league, that for me is the best," the 19-year-old told reporters.
"I know that Espanyol are a great club and is good for young players to grow and learn with. I know a few things about the club and that they have great players.

"Gai Assulin recommended the city to me and before I came I spoke to some other Israeli players.
"In particular, I talked to Yossi Benayoun who told me that Espanyol are a great club. Everyone said good things and that is why I am here.
Sahar added: "I had offers from other clubs but I chose the Spanish league because it is where I want to play.
"Espanyol have given me that opportunity and I hope to pay them back. I think the Spanish league is the best and will suit my characteristics."
Sahar's arrival has fuelled speculation that captain Raul Tamudo could be set to leave Espanyol during the transfer window, with Wigan reported to be keen on his services.
