Hereford boost survival hopes by signing United youngster

Hereford have signed Manchester United youngster Febian Brandy on an initial one-month loan deal. Brandy, who turns 20 on Wednesday, is yet to make a first-team appearance for the English champions but has recently been on loan at Championship side Swansea. The Manchester-born striker has made 14 substitute appearances for the Swans this season without scoring. Brandy also spent the second half of last term on loan at the Liberty Stadium and has scored three league goals from a total of 31 sub appearances and two starts for the Welsh outfit. The diminutive youngster is recognised for his pace and skill, and prefers to drop deep and run at defenders.

Other loan signings

Hereford signed Hungarian goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi on loan from Liverpool earlier on deadline day, while Graham Turner has already taken midfielder Sam Hewson on loan from Manchester United. Brandy will boost the Bulls' battle to avoid an immediate return to League Two as they currently lie second-bottom of League One, seven points adrift of safety.
