Tresor Kandol looks set to return to Leeds despite Millwall's attempts to extend his loan spell.
The 27-year-old made an instant impact at the Den, scoring eight goals since joining the Lions at the beginning of the season.
Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has stressed his desire to keep the striker at the club but says his efforts may be in vain.
Kandol looks likely to return to Elland Road before the Whites' upcoming trip to Walsall at the weekend.
Jackett told skysports.com: "It looks unlikely he will stay with us and we have made some enquiries about it.
"He has had a good first-half of the season with us and we are very pleased with him.
"We will just have to see what happens in the next few weeks regarding him and Leeds."
