Forward in hot water after unsporting conduct to official

Palermo's top marksman Fabrizio Miccoli has been banned for two games by the Italian league for insulting the referee after a loss to Cagliari at the weekend. The league judge said on Tuesday that Miccoli directed an "insulting expression" at the referee after the 1-0 loss on Sunday and the former Juventus man will now serve his punishment. Miccoli, who has scored seven goals for the Sicilian side this season, will miss Palermo's final two games of the year, against Siena and league-leaders Inter Milan.
