Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of Coventry City defender Gary Borrowdale on loan until the end of December.

Skysports.com revealed earlier on Wednesday that Borrowdale had been lined up as new QPR manager Paulo Sousa's first signing.

A deal has now been finalised, with Borrowdale looking forward to the move after failing to make an appearance for Coventry this season.

"I'm really pleased to be here - it's a great move for me," the 23-year-old told the club's official website.

Confident

"Things have gone a bit stale for me since the change in management at Coventry, but I've got every belief in my own ability and I'm confident I'll be a success here.

"It's a fresh start for me and I'm looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead."

Borrowdale could make his QPR debut on Saturday against former club Crystal Palace, who he left to join Coventry in the summer of 2007.

The full-back, who spent a spell on loan at Colchester United earlier this season, will be aiming to secure a permanent deal at Loftus Road.
