Croatian surprised by early success

Josep Simunic has warned his team-mates that there is still plenty of work to do despite Hertha Berlin's recent run of success. Hertha are currently fourth in the Bundesliga table, just four points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen, after winning three of their last four games. However, Simunic realises that the players cannot afford to rest on their laurels ahead of Saturday's game against Bochum. "I am surprised," he told Kicker. "In the summer I thought we might have problems, but I have been proved wrong. "We are on the way to becoming a top team, but we haven't got there yet. "(In the past) we have always faltered. We shouldn't be talking about the title or even a Champions League berth."

English dream

The 30-year-old Croatian has also reaffirmed his desire to play in the Premier League at some point in his career. "England has always fascinated me and I am still dreaming of a move there," he explained. "But I don't want to force things if it doesn't come about. I can also imagine finishing my career here at Hertha."
