Plymouth Argyle have taken Marcel Seip off the transfer list after he apologised to team-mates for an incident last April.
Seip angered manager Paul Sturrock last season when he refused to play as a substitute in the team's 2-1 Home Park defeat to Charlton Athletic.
The Dutch defender missed the club's run-in after undergoing a hernia operation and Sturrock is pleased he has now shown commitment towards to the South Coast club.
"Marcel has had the guts to come in and do that and I am very appreciative. As far as I am concerned, the slate is clean now," Sturrock told the club's official website.
"He realises that he made a mistake. He will now be brought off the transfer list and will be a valuable part of the team. I am not the type of manager that holds grudges.
"It would have been easy for Marcel to think the grass would have been greener but he has shown a commitment to the football club.
"As far as I am concerned, today is the last day I want to discuss it. We are now looking forward."
