Coventry have confirmed that eight players will not be offered new deals at the end of the season.

De Zeeuw and Cairo among those let go

Coventry have confirmed that eight players will not be offered new deals when their current contracts expire at the end of the season. Arjan De Zeeuw, named club captain by former manager Iain Dowie when he moved to the Ricoh Arena last summer, is among those to be released. De Zeeuw's Dutch compatriot Ellery Cairo is another to be let go after a frustrating first season with the Sky Blues. Veteran midfielder Michael Hughes, striker Wayne Andrews and Irishman Colin Hawkins will also be free to look for a new team, along with Liam Davies, Lee Hildreth and Stuart Giddings. However, Marcus Hall, Stephen Hughes, Danny Ireland and Andy Marshall will be offered new deals by boss Chris Coleman, subject to agreeing terms with the club. A decision has yet to be made on David McNamee, who is currently recovering from a hamstring injury.
