Albelda and Canizares set to stay

Valencia's David Albelda looks set to remain at the club until the end of the season at least. The Spanish international was at loggerheads with the club and wanted to be able to move to England on a free transfer, with a host of clubs ready to make him an offer. However, reports from Valencia now claim that coach Ronald Koeman, the player and the club's hierarchy are set to resolve their argument. Albelda will then stay put until the summer with a view to remaining for longer. Team-mate Santiago Canizares has been locked in a similar dispute - but he too is set to stay with the club after smoothing over the situation. A third player Miguel Angel Angulo could also remain after he was linked with a move to the Premier League. Reports suggest Angulo will stay, but his agent is reportedly in England looking to secure him a move before the transfer deadline on Thursday. A host of clubs are said to be interested in the 30-year-old forward, with Manchester City the likeliest destination for Angulo should he leave - according to reports.
