Garcia at the double for Atletico

Atletico Madrid have one foot in the second round of the Uefa Cup after a 4-0 win over Turkish minnows Kayseri Erciyesspor in the first leg of their first round tie. Mista got the ball rolling with the opener for Atletico on 13 minutes and former Manchester United man Diego Forlan doubled the lead over Kayseri four minutes later. Former Liverpool hero Luis Garcia (83, 90) grabbed two goals in the last seven minutes to complete a comfortable win for the capital club. Aris Salonika upset Real Zaragoza with a hard-fought 1-0 win in their first leg clash. Avraam Papadopoulos scored the only goal of the game after just six minutes to give the Greek side a famous victory. Getafe left it late to pinch a 1-0 win over FC Twente Enschede at the Alfonso Perez Stadium. Ikechukwu Uche struck on the stoke of full-time to deny Enschede, who had Edson Braafheid dismissed for two bookable offences after 65 minutes, a hard fought away draw. Villarreal all but booked their place in the second round following a crushing 4-1 win over Bate Borisov. The Spanish side wasted little time in taking the lead in the first round first leg tie when Nihat Kahveci fired in on five minutes. Marcos Senna (17) then doubled the lead and Nihat (49) took his personal tally for the night to two before Jon Dahl Tamasson (55) added a fourth. Borisov grabbed a 67th minute consolation through Maksim Zhavnerchik, but they have their work cut out in order to progress. AZ Alkmaar secured a 1-0 win over Pacos Ferreira thanks to a 89th minute strike from Sebastien Pocognoli.
