Brentford boss Leroy Rosenior is hoping to have Lloyd Owusu back from injury by late October.

The 29-year-old has been out of action since tearing a groin muscle back in April, an injury which ended his dream of playing for Ghana at the World Cup.

Owusu then saw a possible return date pushed back by a fortnight, but Rosenior has now insisted that his recovery is progressing nicely.

"Lloyd has had a bit of a setback, and we will probably have to delay his return by a couple of weeks," Rosenior explained.

"But he had the stitches out and he is starting to move forward. We are just waiting for the all-clear.

"I hope we would have him back by the middle or the end of October."

Rosenior also confirmed that teenage forward Ryan Peters was on the road to recovery following a hernia operation and could return to training later this month.
