Brentford manager Martin Allen is backing Lloyd Owusu to make Ghana's World Cup squad for Germany this summer.
Owusu has been called into Ratomir Dujkovic's side for Wednesday's friendly with Stuttgart and Allen sees no reason why the striker cannot make his final 23-man squad.
The Bees boss has praised Owusu's exploits and jokingly stated he would be in with a shout of making Sven Goran Eriksson's Three Lions squad if he were English.
"For Lloyd to get to Germany with Ghana would be a fantastic achievement," Allen told Sky Sports News. "He has worked and he will deserve it if he does go.
"I think he will go to the World Cup personally. Shame he's not English!"
Meanwhile, Ghana have opted to prepare for the World Cup in Austria, rather than Portugal, as they get three training pitches in the country rather than one.
"When you compare the facilities in the two countries, we are getting a bit more in Austria than in Portugal," a Ghana Football Association board member told the BBC.
