Trio tracking Luirink

Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV are believed to be looking at Groningen's Gijs Luirink.

The big three in the Netherlands of Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven are believed to be keeping tabs on Groningen starlet Gijs Luirink.

The 22-year-old arrived at Groningen with a lofty reputation in the summer of 2004, but his career was interrupted after just one game as he picked up a serious knee injury.

Luirink has returned to fitness and is earning admiring glances for his mature displays for Groningen.

The youngster is being tipped for international honours in the future and the big three have already posted scouts at the Oosterpark to keep tabs on Luirink's progress.

Feyenoord, meanwhile, have denied an interest in Heerenveen defender Petter Hansson.

Reports in the Dutch press suggested the Kuip club were lining up a move for the defender in January, but they have moved to nip the rumour in the bud.

"The suggestion that Feyenoord wants to move for the Swede in the winter or at the end of the season is not based on truth," read a statement on Feyenoord's website.

In other transfer news, Ajax have loaned teenage midfielder Stanley Aborah to Den Bosch, with the club hopeful regular football will build his confidence.

Aborah, a Belgian with Ghanaian roots, has a contract with Ajax which runs until 2007.
