Fergie reveals Kleb bid

Manchester United are considering an offer from Celta Vigo for Kleberson.

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Manchester United are considering an offer from Celta Vigo for Kleberson.

The Brazil international is anxious to quit Old Trafford after finding his first-team opportunities limited since joining United two years ago.

The midfielder had been a target for Benfica but could now head to Spain after Celta Vigo made an offer for the 26-year-old.

United boss Ferguson, speaking after his team's friendly win at Peterborough United, acknowledged the bid has been put to the club's board.

"We have had an offer in from Celta Vigo," Ferguson told MUTV.

"I think David Gill is talking to them today but that's all I know at the moment."

Kleberson played in Barry Fry's testimonial at London Road and he also featured in The Red Devils' opening pre-season game against Clyde last Saturday.

But, if negotiations advance as Celta and the player would hope, Kleberson may not be on the plane for United's trip to the Far East later this week.

United are keen to recoup as much of the near £6 million they paid to Atletico Paranaense as possible but it is unclear how much Primera Liga new boys Celta are willing to shell out for Kleberson.
