Scunthorpe manager Brian Laws is hoping to seal a triple swoop to improve his squad ahead of League One football next year.The Iron finished second in League Two to secure promotion, and Laws is now looking to bring in on-loan trio Richard Hinds, Stevland Angus and Richie Ryan on permanent deals.
Angus has been on loan at Glanford Park from relegated Cambridge, and has made nine appearances whilst impressing Laws with his performances at the back.
Fellow defender Hinds has also enjoyed a successful spell with Scunthorpe after coming in to replace the injured Andy Butler in March, whilst Sunderland man Ryan has bolstered the Iron midfield since making a move in the same month.
Laws admitted to be looking at adding the trio to his squad on a permanent basis, although acknowledged it would be up to the individual players whether they made the switch or not.
"I'm pleased with the players that have come in, and I'm hoping Hinds, Angus and Ryan will stay," Laws told Scunthorpe clubcall.
"I think that there's a distinct possibility that we could have all three, it's down to the players themselves but we think they could add something to the squad.
"We'll see what happens."
Laws also held out hope that star striker Paul Hayes would sign a new deal after proving reluctant to extend his stay so far.
The 21-year-old has been the club's top scorer this season and has attracted interest from Championship outfits, although his boss hopes that an improved league status will encourage him to sign on at Glanford Park.
"Going up is a significant factor, he can see we're trying to progress and he can play with us in a higher league," Laws insisted.
"It's just whether we can satisfy his needs, it's been ongoing all season, I'd rather have an answer sooner rather than later and I hope it comes soon."
