Wales captain Ashley Williams says his side are targeting nothing less than a win in their European Qualifier in Israel on Saturday.

The game in Haifa sees the top two sides in Group B meet each other, with both teams unbeaten so far, and a win for Chris Coleman's men would see them overtake the hosts as group leaders.

Williams told Sky Sports News HQ: "It's going to be a massive game for everyone involved. The people back home will be driving us on and we understand the importance of the game.

"We want to win the game and that's the kind of confidence and mentality that we've got now and that we wanted to have at the start of the campaign."

Despite having confidence in his side's chances ahead of the game, Williams is expecting a difficult evening.

He added: "They are very sharp and very bright up front. We've done our research and we know, especially me at the back, that we're going to have to be resilient at times, but we believe we've got enough going forward to win the game.

"We understand that they have very good players. There are no household names, but I can guarantee they are very good. It's going to take a big effort on our part to get the result we want."

Swansea defender Williams also said Gareth Bale is "fine" in the wake of his car being attacked after Real Madrid's loss to Barcelona on Sunday.

He said: "Gareth is the same guy he was years ago. We are obviously over the moon that he's here and is so enthusiastic. I think you can see by the way he plays that he has the passion and has really bought into what we're trying to do."

Israel v Wales is live on Sky Sports 5 on Saturday from 4.30pm
