Collins makes Port Vale move

Sheffield United centre-back Neill Collins has joined Francisco Junior in moving to Port Vale on loan until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old made the last of his 12 appearances for the Blades at the start of October but will now have the opportunity to get some games under his belt before the end of the season. Vale boss Rob Page, who earlier on Thursday completed a deal to bring Everton midfielder Junior to the club, was pleased to add an experienced defender to his backline. "We're delighted to bring someone in of Neill's quality," Page told the club's official website. "He will add leadership and even more of an aerial presence to our defensive unit. "I've got to give a lot of credit to the chairman as well. He has worked very hard over the last few days and has had to dig deep to get these deals done."
