Portsmouth manager Andy Awford has signed Swansea goalkeeper David Cornell on loan for an initial month.
The 23-year-old Welshman has been drafted in as cover for Michael Poke, who is struggling with a back injury. Awford told the club's official website: "We needed to bring in a keeper because Michael has been suffering with back spasms and we're grateful to Swansea for lending us David." Cornell, who has made one senior appearance for Swansea, has had previous loan spells at Port Talbot, Hereford and St Mirren. Pompey have also confirmed Jack Maloney has signed for Bognor Regis after leaving the club by mutual consent.
