Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton is not losing sleep trying to work out how the final games of the Sky Bet Championship campaign will pan out.

Boro start a potentially defining eight days in their promotion bid when they face Ipswich at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday and then head for Derby and Bournemouth, all three rivals in the race for the Barclays Premier League.

Clayton told the club's official website: "It's a very important week given the fact we are playing everyone.

"It's beneficial in that we can take six points from the teams around us, so we've got to go into it, firstly with Ipswich and then think about the others.

"For now, we have to think about Ipswich. You have to take the game individually. You have to think if we can win that game, then try and win the next game.

"If you don't approach it like that, you're thinking, 'What if they lose there?' or 'If they lose there...', and you could easily stay up until 5am doing that. We've got to win our own games and kick-on."
